Breaking NOT AGAIN! Another bad news for Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo

According to reports in Marca, Cristiano Ronaldo receives yet another bad news as he found himself on the losing side yet again in terms of court rulings. German magazine Der Spiegel has announced that they have won an appeal over a 2017 court ruling that prohibited the publication from publishing articles in regard to Ronaldo’s taxes. Following a thorough investigation from 60 journalists and information provided by the Football Leaks, Der Spiegel reported alleged tax frauds conducted by the Juventus forward.

Ronaldo’s lawyers took the case to the court, which banned the magazine from publishing articles on that matter as they threatened Der Spiegel with a 250,000 euro fine, should they not comply. During the process, the lawyers accused the German magazine of using documents that were obtained in an improper manner, without denying the veracity of the reports.

Der Spiegel removed the pieces from their digital edition but appealed against the ruling and two years later have won the trial against the Portuguese superstar.

It can also be recalled that Ronaldo was fined €20,000 ($22,700) by UEFA for his “cojones” celebration during Juventus’ last-16 Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid. After completing his hat-trick, the Portuguese forward mimicked the celebration of Atleti coach Diego Simeone, who celebrated a goal in the first leg by grabbing his crotch.

UEFA’s disciplinary panel found Ronaldo, 34, guilty of improper conduct, but he avoids a ban for his side’s Champions League quarterfinal against Ajax next month. Ronaldo’s fine was the same amount imposed on Simeone for his “obscene” celebration during Atleti’s 2-0 victory in Madrid.

Ronaldo’s celebration came after he had scored a late penalty to secure his hat-trick and Juventus’ passage through to the quarterfinals on aggregate.
The Portugal captain will faced Ukraine and Serbia in the Euro 2020 qualifiers after receiving his first international call-up since the 2018 World Cup and in turned got injured in the game against the Serbian which has kept him on the sidelines.

In the other news, Juventus might have received a huge boost ahead of their Champions League quarter-final meeting with Ajax as Ronaldo is tip to recover in time to play the game. The Portuguese suffered an injury to his right thigh on March 25 but has remarkably returned to fitness ahead of schedule and will play at the Johan Cruyff Arena on April 10 unless he suffers a relapse.

Alarm bells rang in Turin when the No.7 fell injured on international duty and while initial tests ruled out fears of a serious injury, the forward was expected to miss the first leg of the Champions League tie. But Cristiano has incredibly recovered already and will feature in Amsterdam as he goes in search of his sixth Champions League title. Juventus face AC Milan in Serie A on Saturday and while Ronaldo might play, he’s likely to be saved in order to avoid aggravating the injury.
