Manchester United defender returns to his former club

Marcos Rojo has been handed permission by Manchester United to head back to Argentina and train with his former side Estudiantes.

Rojo, who was celebrating his 29th birthday today, spent his time at the home of the former club Estudiantes. The South American club showed pictures of the defender in training, alongside the caption: “Nothing beats spending your birthday at home.”

According to reports, Rojo was given special permission by United to train and stay in shape during the international break.

Rojo has returned to full fitness at Old Trafford in recent weeks but has found opportunities hard to come by under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
