Chelsea stars return for training after //EFL Cup defeat as Kepa keeps low profile

- Chelsea players turned up for training on Monday after their dramatic defeat in the Carabao Cup final

- The Blues suffered a 4-3 defeat to Man City on penalties at the Wembley on Sunday

- Chelsea are preparing for their crunch Premier League clash with Tottenham on Wednesday

Chelsea squad members were spotted arriving their Cobham training base on Monday, February 25, after their shootout defeat in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

According to The Mirror report, most Chelsea first-team players were spotted arriving, but no one knew how Kepa ‘sneaked’ into the training complex.

The under-fire goalkeeper Kepa was the major talking point after City claimed a 4-3 shoot win over Chelsea on Sunday at Wembley after the match ended 0-0 after extra time.

But the young Spanish goalie appeared to have rejected to be replaced by Italian boss Maurizio Sarri in the closing moments of the game when he looked injured.

Interestingly, Sarri, who wanted substitute goalie Willy Caballero to go in for the penalties was left furious as Arrizabalaga ignored the call.

But less than 24 hours after the match, Chelsea stars were back in training for Tottenham’s tough clash on Wednesday.

Chelsea players spotted on arrival include Caballero, Cesar Azpilicueta, Jorginho, David Luiz and Willian.

The Blues were putting in preparations for their midweek London derby with arch rivals Tottenham, who travel to Stamford Bridge this Wednesday.
