The bond between the Chairman of Forte Oil Plc, Femi Otedola, and the Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, is waxing stronger daily, as the two Nigerian billionaires were recently sighted at the wedding of Chiamaka, the daughter of Chisco Motors boss, Chidi Anyaegbu.

At the event held at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos, it was also obvious that Otedola and Dangote had a strong relationship with Anyaegbu. Apart from dining and wining with him, they cheered him on at every opportunity.

Due to the calibre of people at the ceremony, it was a tug of war gaining access into the event hall. The security personnel didn’t leave anything to chance as some guests were turned back at the entrance.

The bride, Chiamaka, is an Information Technology consultant. Her husband, Chukwudalu, is a First-Class graduate and the son of a pharmacist, Jonathan Anulude, and Justice Gloria Anulude.

Other top personalities that graced the wedding were the Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, Nnamdi Okonkwo; a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mike Igbokwe, and a former External Affairs minister, Major Gen. Ike Nwachukwu (retd.).

The Nigeria Labour Congress on Wednesday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the new minimum wage bill. The NLC said  since the National Assembly approved the new minimum wage of N30,000 and passed it to the President for his assent nothing had been heard about it. The union’s Head of Information and Public Affairs, Benson Upah, who spoke to our correspondent on the issue, said  workers would be grateful if Buhari signed the bill  this month. He said, “The President constituted a committee that worked on the figure that was submitted to him and he sent it to the National Assembly as an executive bill. The 3 day training of The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) Ad-hoc staff has just concluded today at Christ The King Primary School Okpoma Yala LGA of Cross River State of Nigeria , with over 500 persons attended.

January 31 2019 Day 1, of the training, facilitators grouped their audience into their various categories; those categories are: 1. Corps member 2. Ex-corps member 3. Students of  federal and state tertiary institution 4. Staff members of federal agencies and MDA's Training commenced, facilitators lectured on the portfolios that will be assigned to an Ad-hoc staff. Also the audience were told the ethics of the commission, as well as the mission and vision. Briefing were  made on the method of voting and the day election is going to start as well as the time also. Day 2, all the audience in the training were told those functions and the roles an Ad-hoc staff is going to play on the election day, so as to ensure a peaceful free and fair election. Day 3, demonstrations were made on how to use the Smart Card Reader(SCR). After all the training sessions conducted, a post exam was given to all, to check everyone's performance.
