The Nigerian entertainment industry appears to be a very booming one going by the luxurious lives celebrities live on social media. A lot of Nigerian celebrities appear quite wealthy as they show off their expensive lifestyle on the internet to the joy of their fans. The new season of MTV Base’s show, ‘Celeb Living,’ is back with Nigerian celebrities taking viewers on a tour of their homes. In the new season which kicked off on Tuesday, Paul Okoye, half of PSquare fame (Rudeboy) took the host, Nenny B, on a tour of his lavish Lagos home and studio space. Celeb Living is fashioned after MTV Cribs (also known as Cribs) a documentary that features tours of the houses and mansions of celebrities in the U.S.

The host, Nenny B said the show reveals what it is like to really live like a celebrity. She said, “The show will give fans a glimpse into the homes, flashy cars, fast cars, off the chain shoes, as well as the vulnerable sides of everyone’s favourite A-list celebs. The show is the only place where you can get a tour of your favourite Nigerian celeb’s guarded home.”

She also added that MTV Base VJ, Ehiz, would also take viewers on a tour of popular musician, L.A.X.’s breathtaking house. “The ‘Rasaking’ singer (L.A.X) showed off his beautiful car as well as other cool spots in his home as he engaged in conversations with Ehiz. The boys also have an intense video game session and you’ll never guess who emerged victoriously.”

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Jimi Agbaje, has also opened up his home for his teeming lovers and this will be shown in an episode on February 5. “Mr Agbaje and his wife took us on the grand tour of their luxurious living space and answered a question or two about his plans for Lagos,” he said. Other Nigerian celebrities who have been featured on the show so far include Praiz, Timaya, Peter Okoye and Reminisce.

You will recall that it was just last month that Paul Okoye had taken to his Instagram page to share videos and photos of his new building site. According to the star, the site is located at one of the choice areas in Lagos state, Parkview, Ikoyi. The father of a set of twins posed with workmen on his site as he revealed that his blessings are coming in doubles.

The Nigeria Labour Congress on Wednesday urged President Muhammadu Buhari to sign the new minimum wage bill. The NLC said  since the National Assembly approved the new minimum wage of N30,000 and passed it to the President for his assent nothing had been heard about it. The union’s Head of Information and Public Affairs, Benson Upah, who spoke to our correspondent on the issue, said  workers would be grateful if Buhari signed the bill  this month. He said, “The President constituted a committee that worked on the figure that was submitted to him and he sent it to the National Assembly as an executive bill. The 3 day training of The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) Ad-hoc staff has just concluded today at Christ The King Primary School Okpoma Yala LGA of Cross River State of Nigeria , with over 500 persons attended.

January 31 2019 Day 1, of the training, facilitators grouped their audience into their various categories; those categories are: 1. Corps member 2. Ex-corps member 3. Students of  federal and state tertiary institution 4. Staff members of federal agencies and MDA's Training commenced, facilitators lectured on the portfolios that will be assigned to an Ad-hoc staff. Also the audience were told the ethics of the commission, as well as the mission and vision. Briefing were  made on the method of voting and the day election is going to start as well as the time also. Day 2, all the audience in the training were told those functions and the roles an Ad-hoc staff is going to play on the election day, so as to ensure a peaceful free and fair election. Day 3, demonstrations were made on how to use the Smart Card Reader(SCR). After all the training sessions conducted, a post exam was given to all, to check everyone's performance.
